Silver. Cast, embossed, engraved, gold-gilded, filigree.
This is a rare filigree crown with two tiers, each formed of eight ribs.
The most of its details are filled with silver filigree patterns, floral and geometrical ornaments. On the lower tier there are three rectangular plaques with gilded lying animals, typical of the Jewish art a lion, a griffin and a stag. On ribs the crown has round medallions bearing an inscription in Hebrew: "This is Torah crown, donated by rabbi Aaron, a son of Moses. The year of 638 (1878)". It also bears the stamp of Kyiv and the master's brand.
