Early 19th century
Silver, color glass. Cast, embossed, engraved, gold-gilded. Filigree
This beautiful crown is decorated with the lion, stag and bird statuettes, a noble gilded floral ornament and multipetal flowers. The upper and lower tiers of the item feature six-ribbed crowns and the central one is formed of lion statuettes on hind legs to support the upper tier, which is decorated with six movable pendants holding birds with bells in their beaks. An original artistic solution, the crown ribs are made in the shape of stylized vine sprouts decorated with oak leaves and acorns, squirrel statuettes. The crown is also decorated with six round open-worked plaques made by filigree and scroll patterns with glass inlays. It is topped by the cupola with a six-petal, open-worked flower in the center.
